TRAINING & WORKSHOPS: LEAN THINKING
5S and Visual Management (1 day)
Description:
This one-day seminar details how 5S techniques of workplace
organization are used to eliminate process waste. 5S
is a method for creating a workplace that is clean,
safe, and well-organized. It is a foundational Lean
tool that creates process stability, improves quality,
and improves efficiency – other tools build upon
this foundation of stability, and 5S is a common starting
point for companies new to Lean Thinking. The steps
of 5S implementation – Sort, Store, Shine, Standardize,
and Sustain – are discussed in detail and include
many useful pictures and videotaped examples.
