TRAINING & WORKSHOPS: LEAN THINKING
Lean Supply Chain (2 days)
Description:
Increasingly, it is not single corporate entities that
compete effectively by themselves; it is winning groups
of entities that together create competitive supply
chains. This intensive two-day workshop examines how
the principles and practices of Lean Thinking can be
applied to any company’s supply chain.

Target Audience and Outcomes:
This workshop is designed for supply chain professionals,
procurement and purchasing specialists, senior leaders
of the business, and representatives of lean supplier
candidate firms. By the end of this two-day session,
participants will understand the application of lean
tools to the supply chain, and begin the process of
developing closer customer/supplier relationships to
achieve better supply chain management over the processes
which customers and suppliers jointly own.
Notes:
Participants receive a three-ring binder with all presentation
slides. A videotape on lean supply chain is included.
Assessment instruments and case studies are included,
as well. Lean Supply Chains demand new and closer ways
of customers and suppliers working together for mutual
benefit and customer value. Participants should come
prepared to challenge their assumptions and paradigms
about what constitutes effective customer/supplier relationships.
